Legends of Norrath, the online trading-card game set in the world of EverQuest and EverQuest II, will see a new expansion on Feb. 23. Vengeful Gods adds over 180 new cards to the game, several of which can be redeemed for in-game loot, including new mounts, in both MMOs.
Two thousand years after the sacrifice of the Ethernauts, threats from the Void are still surfacing. Learning lessons from their past defeats, the Voidmen have now turned to a more nefarious scheme: destroy Norrath by cutting the people off from their gods. As the five travelers continue to investigate reports of Voidman activity, a plot to enslave the avatars of the gods to be revealed. To save Norrath, the travelers must battle against mind-controlled prophets and the manifestations of the gods themselves!
Among the new features in this set include:
- New Loot: Mounts return to Legends of Norrath with several amazing new loot cards, including exclusive new Spider Mounts in EverQuest and new mount variants in EverQuest II.
- New Cards: Exciting new game mechanics and the continuation of popular game play like “Shifting cards” add fresh, new strategies.
- New Characters: Pulled from the lore of EverQuest, Vengeful Gods features appearances by the God of Valor, the God of War and Anashi Sul, the Avatar of the Forgotten.
